Cotton Purchase in 2013

Quality cotton supply decreased, but turnover price at auction was still higher than purchasing cost of new cotton, which promote seed cotton price to go high, good for stability of cotton planting areas in new crop year.In terms of regions, purchase prices of seed cotton saw both increase and decrease and kept generally stable. It is predicted cotton seed price shall see increase and cotton purchasing price index shall decrease in general.
Cotton seed price saw general increase. Price increase of cottonseed promoted the purchasing price index to go further down Cottonseed purchasing price was generally higher than the same period of last year and purchase price index of seed cotton in inland provinces was higher year on year.
Price of both seed cotton and ginning outturn decreased dramatically compared with the same period of last year.
