Peanut Consumption for Oil Production in 2013

Peanut consumption for oil production went up from 6.9 million MT in 2009/2019 to 7.3 million MT in 2010/2011 and to 7.4 million MT in 2011/2012. Due to high peanut price but stable peanut oil and peanut meal price, crushers are in the red. It is predicted that crushers’ peanut consumption may shrink to 7.38 million MT this year.
