China Agriculture Report By CnAgri2013-09-11 11:43:45China Agriculture Report Print EU Commission released Regulation (EU)543/2011and set regular and special sale standards for all fresh fruits and vegetables. Newly released (EU)594/2013 regulation revised fruit and vegetable sale standards in above-mentioned regulation.

(EU) 594/2013 revised sale standards as following: The products fit for local consumption but not for EU sale standards could be sold in local markets.  The products could be exempted from EU sale standards after passing commission resolution. According to article 15 of No.543/2011 regulation in enforcement regulations, the third party is allowed to authorize licenses to fruits and vegetables. To make it traceable, EU Commission revised standards for regular sale, so as to better recognize producers of fruits and vegetables; standards for apples and pears are as same as new UN/ECE standards. What’s more, to make time for adopting UN/ECE standards for some citrus (not include seedless mini citrus and Clementine citrus), EU approved Israel conducting inspection in line with No. 543/2011 regulation for some areas.

The updates will be carried out since October 1, 2013.
