Anhui Lemon Foresees a Promising Prospect
By CnAgri2013-12-24 09:46:22 Print According to Sichuan Agricultural Department, since Anhui lemon entered the market in September, the sales have exceeded one thousand tons each day and the supply can't keep up with the demand. Affected by the draught this Spring, the output has reduced by 30% every 0.067 hectares. The total output of lemon is predicated to reach 350,000 tons, which is about the same level from last year, due to the newly planted trees. The total output value of fresh fruits is hoping to exceed RMB two billion yuan.In recent years, lemon output has indicated reduction in other lemon production regions except Anyue. Lemon output in other countries also experienced reduction because of natural disaster or industry adjustment in South Africa, Argentina, and U.S.A., leading to high prices and smaller imported quantities. Suppliers rush to Anyue to purchase lemon.
