Corn Planting Surplus Problem is Still Serious.
By CnAgri2015-09-16 17:44:40 PrintThe Ministry of Agriculture monitoring data indicates that, the national corn planting areas in 2015 are 228,000 hectares, increasing 31,300 hectares and up by 16% from last year. Affected by high temperature, per unit yield of corn decreased in Xinjiang and Gansu province. While, the production after disaster are around 1.11 billion kg, increasing about 100 million kg than last year. Moreover, taking 800 million kg corn seeds inventory of June into consideration, the seed supply will be around 1.9 billion kg in 2016. However, seed demand is predicted to be 1.22 billion kg. Thus, corn planting surplus problem is still serious.
