Agricultural situation in Shandong shows that the planting area of wheat was 3.8 million hectares throughout the whole province in 2016, increasing 13,700 hectares from the year before. Currently, on the one hand, fast-growing seedlings reach 280,000 hectares, accounting for a bigger proportion, and increase by 187,000 hectares from the same period last year; on the other hand, pests and weeds are serious.

Agricultural situation in Henan shows that the planting area of summer grain crops is stable and planting structure is optimized. The planting area of wheat steadily increased, the area of strong gluten wheat and weak gluten wheat demonstration base was 153 thousand hectares, the planting area of large-scale high-quality wheat was 400 thousand hectares. Seedling situation is better than that in the same period last year. The proportion of first class seedlings and second class seedlings totally reached 85.6% across the whole province, increasing 0.8% year on year.

Agricultural situation in Anhui shows that the area of spring sowing is predicted to steadily increase in 2017, of which, the planting area of grain decreases slightly, the sown areas of vegetables, beans and potatoes respectively increase to varying degrees. The proportion of first class seedlings and second seedlings totally passed 80% across the whole province. The supply of fertilizer, pesticides, agricultural film, rice seed and corn seed is abundant, and the quality of these materials is good relatively. The prices of hybrid rice seed, corn seed and soybean seed basically are the same as that in last year, while the prices of hybrid cotton seed dropped by more than 10% year on year. The prices of fertilizer basically kept stable.

Agricultural situation in Shanxi province shows that the planting area of summer grain crops in 2017 basically is the same as that last year, of which, the planting area of wheat decreased 4,000 hectares year on year. Now, the proportion of first class seedlings and second seedlings of wheat totally was 80% across the whole province, basically the same as that in last year. It’s predicted that the planting area of crops in the province will increase slightly in 2017, of which, the planting area of grain will decrease slightly.
