In the first half of 2018, the price of yellow broilers rose, and the profit of feeding enterprises increased greatly

The average price of live birds was 14.10 yuan/kg, up 5.06 yuan/kg over the same period of last year; the price of chicks was 1.99 yuan/bird, up 0.80 yuan/bird year-on-year; and the feeding benefit was 4.12 yuan/bird, which is a sharp contrast to a loss of 2.68 yuan/bird in the same period last year. Affected by upward market, rising price, and other factors in yellow broiler industry, the operating revenue and profit of yellow broiler enterprises have increased significantly.
(1) Wens Group sold 336 million commercial broilers in the first half of the year, down 14.92% year-on-year; its sales revenue reached 8.488 billion yuan, up 36.63% year-on-year; the average selling price was 13.41 yuan/kg, up 5.81% year-on-year; and the gross profit was 1.776 billion yuan, an increase of 40.1% year-on-year.
(2) In the first half of 2018, Xiangjia Animal Husbandry Co. realized sales revenue of 689 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 63.06%, and made a net profit of 38.78 million yuan, turning losses into profits. The company's sales network of fresh food has expanded to 18 provinces and municipalities, and the sales of fresh poultry increased from 259 million yuan in the same period last year to 376 million yuan, a growth of 45.24%, accounting for 54.54% of the total revenue.
 
(3) CHUNMAO Group achieved operating revenue of 620 million in the first half of 2018, an increase of 29.5% over the same period of last year; and its net profit was 34.53 million yuan, up 137.6% year-on-year.
(4) CHUANWEI CHICKEN achieved operating revenue of 140 million in the first half of 2018, an increase of 68.6% over the same period of last year, and made a net profit of 9.17 million yuan, up 298.7% year-on-year.
For the sharp increase in feeding benefit in the first half of 2018, the supply of yellow broilers will increase in the second half of the year. However, under the impact of environmental protection, natural disasters, African swine fever, and other factors, the prices of yellow broilers or will keep high, and yellow broiler feeding will remain profitable. 2018 will be a lucrative year for yellow broiler enterprises.
