8.62 million Tons New Sugar Produced, Sales 3.72 million Tons

China had produced 8.62 million tons sugar till the end of March in 2016/17, 622,900 tons more than the 8.00 million tons in last campaign. 3.72 million tons sugar had been sold during the campaign, 503,400 tons more than the 3.22 million tons in same period last campaign. The sales ratio had been 43.19%, 2.93 percentage points lower than the 40.26% in same period last campaign.

China had sold 3.25 million tons cane sugar till the end of March in 2016/17, 518,800 tons less than the 2.73 million tons in last campaign. The sales ratio had been 42.75%, 4.64 percentage points lower than the 38.11% in the same period last campaign. It had sold 476,500 tons beet sugar till the end of March, 15,400 tons less than the 491,900 tons, the sales ratio had been 46.42%, 12.15 percentage point less than the 58.57% in the same period last campaign.
