China approval for Dow’s herbicide Florasulam?MCPA
By CnAgri Print Dow AgroScience has received Chinese temporary approval for its herbicide Florasulam•MCPA (0.39% florasulam+42.61% MCPA) SE for one year. The Chinese Institute for the Control of Agrochemicals, Ministry of Agriculture (ICAMA) approved the herbicide for use on broadleaf weeds control in wheat fields.The product is based on florasulam which provides a systemic and broad spectrum control for most broadleaf weeds in wheat fields, including hard-to-control cleavers (rubiaceae) and Lithospermum arvense (Boraginaceae). Dow AgroScience has registered several compound based on florasulam in China earlier, including Florasulam•2,4-D-ethylhexyl Ester and Florasulam•Flumetsulam. Florasulam is formulated with MCPA to produces a broad spectrum broadleaf herbicide, with excellent cereal selectivity, a short rainfast period and no plantback or export residue concerns.
