China approves Yancheng Limin fungicide thifluzamide TC

By CnAgri Print Chinese agrochemical company Yancheng Limin Chemical announced that their fungicide 98% thifluzamide technical has received the registration approval from Chinese Institute for the Control of Agrochemicals, Ministry of Agriculture (ICAMA). Japan's Nissan Chemical Industries and Zhejiang Bosst Cropscience have already registered 96% and 95% thifluzamide technical seperately before.

The company also received a thifluzamide SC registration used for sheath blight control on rice. Both registrations on technical and SC are valid for 5 years.

The carboxamide fungide thifluzamide is highly active against Basidiomycete fungi, in particular Rhizoctonia solani, primarily in rice, potatoes, and turf markets.Nissan acquired the global business of thifluzamide from Dow Agrosciences in 2010.

Thifluzamide has been commercially introduced in East Asia and Latin America countries for rice sheath blight and peanut limb rot control since 1997. In Japan, thifluzamide has registered in mixture formulation with imidacloprid and carpropamid. The major market of thifluzamide are Japan, Korea, China, and Mexico.
