Import of Infant/Young Child’s Formula Milk Powder

In the first eleven months of 2012 China imported 80,773 tons of infant/young child’s formula milk powder (HS19011000), up 13.67% year on year, the monthly average price was 11,437 US dollars/ton (CIF), up 4.71% year on year. In November the import was 8,658 tons, up 18.72% year on year; the average import price (CIF) was 11,436 US dollars/ton, up 4.39% year on year. During this period the import of infant/young child’s formula milk powder was mainly from New Zealand, the Netherlands, Singapore and France.
