China ——the Largest Plywood Board Producer and Exporter

GIA has released a comprehensive report on global plywood board markets recently. This report points out that plywood board consumption in global markets is predicted to exceed 85 million cubic meters in 2018. New markets with great demand include Asia and Latin America and sales depend to a large extent on building industry in those areas.
Sales of plywood board in Asian and Pacific regions, America and Europe constitute a high proportion of global sales. And sales in China made up over 50% of total sales in Asian and Pacific regions.
The report points out that domestic production of plywood board was mainly used to meet domestic demand in the past ten years and now is meeting global demand. Production expanding of plywood board in China has made itself not only the largest producer but also the largest exporter.
Plywood board condition in other countries: demand for wooden products in Japan is predicted to increase with the start of rebuilding areas destroyed by the earthquake. But plywood sale may increase smoothly because of the time for clearing waste and previous stock. Influenced by economy recession, demand increase of plywood board in America can only depend on recovery of real estate. Europe faces the same situation with America. What’s more, it is also threatened by cheap plywood board from China, Russia and Ukraine.
