China Fertilizer Price Saw both Increase and Decrease This Week

By CnAgri2013-01-25 11:02:31 Print UREA: Urea retail price kept stable at a high level this week and RMB5-10/MT was noted in some areas. Operating rate of manufacturers was beyond 80% and demand mainly comes from fertilizer stocking and industrial consumption in NE. (Figure 1)
 
ABC: ABC stock of manufacturers was at a low level this week and ABC retail price is keeping stable at RMB700Yuan/MT, with the decline rate of 5% compared with last year. (Figure 2)
 
DAP: This week DAP price kept stable and most enterprises are now dealing with previous orders. Quotation in 2013 was not quite clear. With supply decreasing, the market game is beginning to be advantageous to sellers and market price is quite likely to increase. (Figure 3)
 
NPK: Driven by continuous increasing of raw material price, factory price of NPK increase greatly. It still takes some time for retail price to go up and this week NPK retail price was RMB2750/MT, down 1.6% compared with last year. (Figure 4)
 
MOP: Influenced by price decreasing by Qinghai Salt Lake Potash Company and weaken MOP price at ports, retail price of MOP fell to RMB2900/MT this week and is likely to go further down in later period. (Figure 5)
 
SOP: Compared with MOP price, SOP price went stable this week, because operating rate of manufacturers kept at a low level (below 30%) and the price of its byproduct, hydrochloric acid, also declined greatly and enterprises shall not allow SOP price to go further down.  (Figure 6)
