China’s Imports of log by Species from January to February

Imports of Coniferous Logs: In Dec, China imported 556,870 cubic meters of Korean pine and Mongolian scotch pine log, 373,379 cubic meters of white pine log, 863,481 cubic meters of radial pine log, 158,588 cubic meters of larch log, and 373,288 cubic meters of other needle leaved wood log.
 
2. Imports of Tropical Logs: Import of tropical wood log falls into three categories, including import of red meranti log, import of teakwood log and import of other tropical wood log. In Dec, China imported 4,664 cubic meters of red meranti log, which was mainly imported from Malaysia. Import volume of teakwood was 3,382 cubic meters. Import volume of okoume was 21,661 cubic meters. Import volume of keruing was 4,419 cubic meters. Import volume of kapur was 4,621 cubic meters. Import volume of mengaris (intsia spp.) was 10,758 cubic meters. Import volume of kempas (koompassia spp.) was 5,925 cubic meters. Import volume of mengaris (anisopter spp.) was 6,538 cubic meters.Import volume of other tropical woods was 22,443 cubic meters.
 
3. Imports of Non-Coniferous Logs: Log import of none-needle-leaved woods falls into the following categories: oak log, beech wood log, nanmu log, camphor tree log, redwood log, ash log, cherry, black walnut & maple log , other temperate zone none-coniferous log and log of other none-needle-leaved woods. In Dec, China imported 22,983 cubic meters of oak log, 33,478 cubic meters of beech wood log, 0 cubic meters of nanmu log, 88 cubic meters of camphor wood log, 46,771 cubic meters of redwood log, 13,087 cubic meters of ash log, 6,287 cubic meters of North American hardwood and 86,213 cubic meters of other temperate zone none-coniferous log. Import volume of other none-needle-leaved woods was 505,671 cubic meters.
