Fertilizer Exports in January
By CnAgri2013-03-08 10:19:54 Print To ensure fertilizer supply during spring plowing, the government tightened fertilizer export control in early 2013. The State Development Commission required the customs house system to stick to high export tax during the non-off-season of fertilizer consumption.Urea, DAP and MAP exports registered 308,200 MT, 67,900 MT and 30,400 MT respectively in January, down 81.41%, 78.75% and 57.68% respectively from the month before.
Urea and DAP export prices were $369.25/MT and $556.63/MT respectively in January, down 0.93% but up 0.79% respectively against the month before. MAP export price dropped 6.19% from the month before.
AS, TSP and NP compound fertilizer exports were 217,800 MT, 43,000 MT and 8,912 MT respectively in January, up 18.53%, up 12.69% but down 86.61% respectively against the month before.
Despite soft fertilizer exports in January, fertilizer exports are expected to go up this year over last year because of the new export policy, such reduction of export tax, loose control of export price and extension of low-tax period for phosphorus exports.
