Analysis on Crushers’ Profit

China Agriculture Report By CnAgri2013-04-17 10:41:45China Agriculture Report Print The crushing of imported soybeans usually generates more profit than domestic soybeans, for instance, RMB300 ~ 500/MT more than the profit from domestic soybean in the first quarter of 2012.
 
Similarly, imported rapeseeds generates more profit than domestic rapeseeds, except during April ~ May of 2012.
 
Soybean crushing generated RMB100 ~ 200/MT more profit than rapeseed crushing in the first half of 2012, a result of low soybean price and high rapeseed price. Imported soybeans and rapeseeds enabled crushers some profit in the third quarter of 2012 but incurred losses in the fourth quarter of 2012.
 
In late March this year, the returns from the crushing of imported soybeans were RMB32/MT more than the returns from the crushing of imported rapeseeds.
