Grain/Fertilizer Price Ratio in March ~ April

China Agriculture Report By CnAgri2013-04-23 14:21:36China Agriculture Report Print Calculating at fertilizer nutrient price in March ~ April this year, wheat/urea, wheat/DAP and wheat/NPK price ratios were 0.5, 0.43 and 0.39 respectively, corn/urea, corn/DAP and corn/NPK price ratios were 0.5, 0.43 and 0.39 respectively, indica/urea, indica/DAP and indica/NPK price ratios were 0.84, 0.72 and 0.51 respectively and japonica/urea, japonica/DAP and japonica/NPK price ratios were 0.93, 0.81 and 0.73 respectively.
 
Compared with the same period of last year, grain/fertilizer price ratios went up in March ~ April, with the biggest rise being 7%. Wheat price moved up on account of little release of state reserve. On the other hand, fertilizer price failed to go up this spring as a result of the delay of spring plowing.
