For this week, the price of live hog was RMB12.68Yuan/KG, up 2.01% compared with last week. According to monitoring data by Ministry of Commerce, slaughtering volume by designated slaughterhouses increased 10% MOM in April and domestic pork supply was adequate. Though hog breeding industry suffered from serious loss in the past one month, stocks of live hogs were still at high level. Therefore, though relevant departments will start the second round of pork purchase and storage, supply and demand condition will not be influenced. It is predicted hog market lacks momentum of going up and shall keep fluctuating at bottom. (Figure 1)
