Beef and Mutton Price Slightly Up in Dragon Boat Festival

By CnAgri2013-06-08 14:46:47 Print Beef: On June 5th, in the beef wholesale markets of the 36 medium-and-large sized cities, the average price of fresh boning-out leg meat is RMB51.60Yuan/KG, up 0.72% from last week. Recently domestic farmers are busy with spring planting, slaughter and turnovers of beef cattle declined. Meanwhile, with coming of Dragon Boat Festival, domestic beef consumption is expected to increase and it is predicted beef price shall go up slightly. (Figure 3)




Mutton: On June 5th, the mutton wholesale markets of the 36 medium-and-large sized cities, the average price of bone-in fresh mutton is RMB53.21Yuan/KG, up 1.58% compared with last week. Domestic mutton sheep market went stable this week and mutton consummption is driven by summer barbecue. It is predicted mutton price  shall increase slightly with adequate supply. (Figure 4)
