Textile Industry’s Exports in June Influenced Cotton Imports
By CnAgri2013-07-18 11:14:50 Print The textile industry realized an export value of RMB24.09 billion in June, 4.87% more than the month before and 5.25% more than the same period of last year. The slow growth had an impact on textile production and cotton imports.The industry’s exports accounted for 13.82% of the nation’s total exports in June, a larger share than the month before and than the same period of last year.
Specifically, textile product exports valued $9.225 billion and garment exports $14.864 billion, up 28.61% but down 17.62% respectively against the month before, up 9.72% and 2.66% respectively on the year-on-year basis.
Adjusting for US currency depreciation, textile product exports, garment exports and the textile industry’s total exports increased 9.31%, 2.25% and 4.84% respectively on the year-on-year basis.
