By CnAgri2013-08-01 11:08:23 Print The Ministry of Agriculture has recently issued a notice on the supply of subsidy for fine livestock breeds. The subsidy will be provided to sow farms adopting artificial insemination. Calculating at a brood sow’s use of four units of semen each year, there is a subsidy of RMB10 for each unit of semen.Semen-supplying farms will be decided by major hog-producing counties whose brood sow inventory is more than 20,000 heads and whose artificial insemination is applied to more than 50% of hog farms. It is estimated that the subsidy may cover about 16.4 million heads of sows in China.
