In June-August, it is slack season for beef consumption. Scaled beef cattle slaughterhouses and processing enterprises decline operating rate and beef supply kept stable. Besides, according to slaughterhouses, cost for procurement and labour keeps high, so we predict that domestic beef price shall remain stable at high level. In future, with end of hot weather and summer holiday, demand for beef shall recover. Meanwhile, operating rate of beef cattle slaughterhouses shall increase accrodingly. But according to BOABC, cattle supply is predicted to be tighter in the second half year of 2013 than in 2012. Processing quantity is predicted to decline about 10%. Therefore, domestic beef price shall continue keeping high in the second half year of 2013. (Figure 6)
