Mexico: Sugar Production Broke 7 Million Tons Record in 12/13
By CnAgri2013-09-11 11:48:53 Print CNIAA informed the sugar production in 2012/13 was 7 million tons, breaking another record, up 39% year on year thanks to the improvement of crop yield and positive weather conditions.Sugar export from Mexico during the year may be 2.5 million tons, a record level, up 166% from 2011/12. To date during the year Mexico has exported 1.5 million tons sugar, a record level in same period in history. However sugar production may drop by 14% in 2013/14.
