Grain Purchase by Sept. 30h

According to statistics, grains enterprises purchased new wheat 54.5 million MT totally in 11 wheat main production areas like Jiangsu and Henan etc. by Sept. 30h, down 3.13 million MT from last year. Grains enterprises purchased new early indica rice 9.035 million MT totally in 8 rapeseed main production areas like Jiangxi and Hunan, up 0.737 million MT from last year.
 
Early indica rice purchase with minimum purchasing price came to an end on Sept.30th and purchasing quantity totaled 36000MT. It is the second time that Guangxi starts execution plan of minimum purchasing price since 2005 and the price is set at RMB1.32/Kg. In addition, 0.5626 million MT grain was purchased with direct subsidy orders, accounting for 70.3% of annual plan, down 33800MT from last year with decrease rate of 5.7%. Liuzhou and Guigang completed plan in advance and Beihai and Qinzhou completed 98.7% and 97.9% respectively.
 
Purchasing quantities, including wheat and early rice, totaled 64.19 million MT, down 2.21 million MT from last year, 36.515 million MT of which was purchased by state-owned enterprises, down 8.2 million MT from last year.
 
Grains enterprises purchased new rapeseed 6.16 million MT totally in 20 rapeseed main production areas like Hubei and Jiangsu, up 0.25 million MT from last year.
 
Autumn grain purchase began. By Oct.10th, 5.09 million MT middle-late indica rice was purchased accumulatively in 11 production areas like Hubei and Anhui, up 1.29 million MT from last year.
 
By Sept.30th, 50 millioin jin middle-late rice was purchased in Hubei and the purchasing progress is predicted to accelerate in October.
 
By now, totally 69.28 million MT 2013 grains are purchased in all grain production areas and 38.45 million MT is estimated purchased by state-owned enterprises. Total quantity of rice registered 14.78 million MT and 7.55 million MT was purchased by state-owned enterprises.
