Pork Price to Fluctuate before Peak Season

China Agriculture Report By CnAgri2013-11-08 11:12:57China Agriculture Report Print Pork: On Nov. 6th, in the pork wholesale markets of the 36 medium-and-large sized cities, the average price of pig carcass was RMB22.69Yuan/KG, up 1.07% compared with last week. For this week, the price of live hog was RMB15.31Yuan/KG, down 2.48% compared with last week. Last weekend, hog price increased with fluctuation. Due to tight supply of hog, price increased in some areas, which increased national average price. In general, however, hog price in most areas remained stable and even declined in some areas. Pork consumption has not really started currently and a wide range of temperature reduction in future shall advance marination of cured meat in SC, which shall promote pork price to recover. It is predicted pork price shall remain fluctuation in short terms. (Figure 1)
