Feed Label New National Standard to be Implemented

Recently, General Administration of Quality Inspection and Quarantine and Standardization Administration jointly released newly revised Feed Label(GB10648-2013), which will take into effect on July 1st 2014.

New Feed Label has the following changes. Firstly, it is more complete. The old version was released in 1999 and has been in effect for 14 years. The new version has made further enrichment and improvement and up yo 15 technical contents has been revised, such as validity boundaries, basic principles and marked contents. Secondly, more products varieties are involved. Most imported feed products are involved in the revise, including fish feed, fishmeal, pet food, bone meal, soymeal, cottonseed meal and feed additives. Thirdly, it is more stringent for imported feed label. According to the new standard, for imported feed label noncompliance with national standard, according to relevant rules, the feed will be dispatched to designated place by Inspection and Quarantine Organization to label qualified label.
