China Beef Export in 2013

Due to high price and tight supply, China beef exports declined significantly in 2013.

In 2013, China exported chilled beef 509MT, down 76.94% from 2,208MT in 2012 and exported frozen beef 5,365MT, down 46.31% from 9,992MT in 2012. In total, China exported beef 59,000MT, down 44.29% on year-on-year basis.

In view of exporting countries, chilled beef was mainly exported to Kuwait, Macau and Hong Kong and frozen beef exported to Kyrgyzstan, Hong Kong and North Korea. See Table 2 and Table 3 for exporting enterprises.
