Farmers Expected Pork Price to Recover during Tomb-sweeping Holiday
By CnAgri2014-03-21 11:28:16 PrintPork: On Mar. 19th 2014, in the pork wholesale markets of the 36 medium-and-large sized cities, the average price of pig carcass was RMB18.16Yuan/KG, up 0.22% compared with last week. For this week, the price of live hog was RMB12.15Yuan/KG, down 0.92% compared with last week. According to BOABC, operating rate of live hog slaughterhouses was less than 40%. Farmers delayed selling hogs to expect higher price boosted by holiday. With weak domestic demand and slow down of capacity elimination, BOABC thinks pork price is poorly supported in short terms.
