According to data from the Veterinary Department of the MOA, the slaughtering quantity of national appointed hog slaughterhouses above designated size was 18.9151 million heads in November, 2015, increasing by 4.08% from last month but decreasing 4.06% year on year. During the period from January to November, the slaughtering quantity of national appointed slaughterhouses above designated size was 190.903 million heads and decreased by 2.235 million heads from 193.138 million heads in the same period of last year, declining 1.16% year on year. Hunan province and COFCO Group sign strategic cooperation framework agreement recently, COFCO Group will invest 10 billion yuan in Hunan province in next five years to carry out multilevel, multi-channel and multiform cooperation in six key fields including planting, breeding, circulation and processing of farm produce, consumer goods, real estate and financial service. In breeding filed, COFCO Group will plan building a hog breeding base with annual slaughter of 500,000 heads hog in Hunan province.
