On March 3rd, 2017, the farmgate price of eggs was 4.46 RMB/kg, down by 0.40% than last week; at the major egg wholesale markets of the 36 medium-and-large sized cities, the average price of fresh eggs was 5.49 RMB/kg, down 1.26% from last week. During the past week, ratio between egg price and corn price was 2.61 and ratio between egg price and feed price was 1.84.

The profit of each link of China’s layer breeding industry in last week was as follows:

Layer breeding link, the gross profit of egg was about -1.39 RMB/kg, and the amount of loss decreased 0.01yuan/kg from last week.

Egg wholesale link, the gross profit was about 0.43 RMB/kg, down 0.05 RMB/kg from last week.

Egg retail link, the gross profit was about 0.74 RMB/kg, down 0.21 RMB/kg from last week.
