Operating Revenues of Fertilizer Companies Listed on National Equities Exchange and Quotations Kept Increasing, but Thei

According to BOABC’s statistics on operating performance of 37 new-type fertilizer companies listed on National Equities Exchange and Quotations in 2017, operating revenues of 37 new-type fertilizer companies reached 3.98 billion RMB, up 12.78% year on year, but their profitabilities dropped. 
 
(1) From the view of the number of companies, among 37 new-type fertilizer companies listed on National Equities Exchange and Quotations, 27 saw an increase in operating revenues, accounting for 73%, but only 21 companies witnessed a growth in net profits, taking up 56.7%, and there were only 16 companies whose gross profits ascended, making up 43.3%. The growth in operating revenues can’t boost profitability.
 
(2) In the perspective of gross profits, the average gross profit of 37 companies in 2017 was 30.44%, far higher than that of traditional fertilizers but still with a year-on-year fall of 1.35%, and even some companies saw a fall of more 10% in gross profit rate. For example, the gross profit rate of Beijing Jinggeng Tianxia Agriculture Science and Technology went down to 18.81% from 30.02%; the gross profit rate of Dazhong Science and Technology reduced to 11% from 24%; the gross profit rate of Taigu Bilogical was down to 40.31% from 55.89%; the gross profit rate of Jibang Ecological went down to 18.57% from 30.09%.      
 
(3) Seen from the loss, among 37 new-type fertilizer companies listed on National Equities Exchange and Quotations, the number of money-losing companies was 11, 1 higher than 2016; the loss increased by 2.2% or 2.22 million RMB from 2016. Among these 11 money-losing companies, 6 companies turned a loss into a profit.
 
So, new-type fertilizer companies maintain a momentum of rapid development, but the profitability is not optimistic.
