China Imported 13.3258 Million Cubic Meters of Korean Pine and Camphor Pine in 2017, up 7.2% YoY

By CnAgri2018-06-13 16:23:42 Print In 2017, China’s imports of Korean Pine and Camphor Pine (log and sawn timber) increased 7.2% and reached 13.3258 million cubic meters. Some features of the Korean Pine and Camphor Pine imports are presented as follows:
A 72.0% was sawn timber and its percentage increased 9.3% from 2016. The proportion of sawn timber has been more than 50% since 2015.
B The imports of Korean Pine and Camphor Pine logs decreased 19.5% from 2016, while the imports of Korean Pine and Camphor Pine sawn timber increased 23.1% from 2016.
C 96% of the Korean Pine and Camphor Pine log imports mainly came from five countries and the proportion was: Russia, 88.6%; Ukraine, 3.6%; Lithuania, 2.0%; Latvia, 1.1%; Poland, 0.7%.
D 98.8% of the Korean Pine and Camphor Pine sawn timber imports mainly came from five countries and the proportion was: Russia, 92.0%; Finland, 3.9%; Sweden, 1.3%; Ukraine, 0.9%; Germany, 0.7%.
E The average annual price of Korean Pine and Camphor Pine log was 112.87 USD/m³ in 2017, a year-on-year increase of 6.6%; the average annual price of Korean Pine and Camphor Pine sawn timber was 187.04 USD/m³ in 2017, up 6.9% year on year.
