Australia terminates anti-dumping investigation of formulated glyphosate from China

China Agriculture Report By CnAgriChina Agriculture Report Print On Jun 24, the Australian Customs and Border Protection Service (ACBPS) announced the results of anti-dumping investigation resumption, which ruled Zhejiang Xinan(now renamed: Wynca) and other two Chinese enterprises do not exist glyphosate formulations dumping, therefore, has decided to terminate the investigation. 

On Feb 6, 2012, the Australian Customs and Border Protection Service (ACBPS) initiated an investigation into the alleged dumping of formulated glyphosate exported to Australia from the People’s Republic of China (China), following an application lodged by Nufarm Limited and Accensi Pty Ltd. On Aug 2, 2012, the ACBPS released the first Anti-dumping investigation results , and ruled Zhejiang Xinan and other two Chinese glyphosate formulations enterprises do not exist dumping the product under investigation, termination against China's anti-dumping investigation of glyphosate enterprises. On Oct 23, 2012, following an application for review from Nufarm Limited to the Trade Measures Review Officer (TMRO), the TMRO revoked the termination and the investigation was resumed by ACBPS. Finally, Australia terminated the anti-dumping investigation and Zhejiang Xinan made the final victory.

Zhejiang Xinan stated that the anti-dumping win has a positive impact on company developing Australian glyphosate market. Another two companies investigated are Jiangsu Good Harvest Weien Agrochemical and Shandong Weifang Rainbow Chemical. 

The applicants may request a review of the delegate’s decision to terminate the investigation by lodging an application with the Anti-Dumping Review Panel (ADRP) in the approved form and manner within 30 days of the publication of the public notice.
