China oks Yancheng Limin's insecticide indoxacarb TK

China Institute for the Control of Agrochemicals, Ministry of Agriculture (ICAMA) has recently approved the registration of agrochemical company Yancheng Limin's insecticide 71% indoxacarb TK. The registration is valid for 5 years.  Dupont and Jiangsu Youthchem have already seperatley registered 70.3% and 70.5% indoxacarb TK.

Indoxacarb is a broad-spectrum insecticide first developed by Dupont. It has novel action mode of paralyzing insects through disturbing the sodium channel. The product was first registered in spain on vines and cotton with brand Steward and Avaunt, then introduced in US market in 2000 as Avaunt for the control of worm pests on fruits and vegetables. Indoxacarb was Launched in France, Italy, Spain in 2000 on vine and tomato, in Africa on cotton. After introduced in India market in 2003, the application on cotton strongly boosted product sales. In 2007, Australian government approved indoxacarb to use on cotton, chickpeas and faba beans.

Indoxacarb product is currently sold in more than 50 countries worldwide.
