Fertilizer Production in February

By CnAgri2013-03-25 10:35:25 Print China’s fertilizer production registered 5.794 million MT (nutrient, same below) in February, 2.88% more than the month before and 15.03% more than the same period of last year. Fertilizer production totaled 11.426 million MT in January ~ February, an increase of 18.24% on the year-on-year basis. Of the total fertilizer production in January ~ February, 70.75% were nitrogen, 25.89% phosphorus and 3.36% potassium.
 
Nitrogen production was 4.18 million MT in February, 7.12% more than the month before and 11.53% more than the same period of last year. Nitrogen production totaled 8.082 million MT in January ~ February, an increase of 11.55% on the year-on-year basis.
 
Phosphorus production was 1.421 million MT in February and 2.957 million MT in January ~ February, up 22.68% and 34.96% respectively on the year-on-year basis.
 
Potassium production was 193,000 MT in February, 1.05% more than the month before and 47.29% more than the same period of last year. Potassium production totaled 384,000 MT in January ~ February, an increase of 56.1% on the year-on-year basis.
 
Of the nitrogen production, urea production was 10.491 million MT (product, same below) in January ~ February, an increase of 4.67% on the year-on-year basis.
 
Of the phosphorus production, DAP and MAP registered 1.401 million MT and 1.411 million MT respectively in February, up 39.11% and 24.32% respectively on the year-on-year basis. DAP production totaled 2.773 million MT and MAP 2.784 million MT in January ~ February, up 44.88% and 24.9% respectively on the year-on-year basis.
