Flour Production & Consumption in February

China Agriculture Report By CnAgri2013-04-02 11:27:20China Agriculture Report Print According to the National Bureau of Statistics, flour production by medium and large mills registered 8.904 million MT in February. Deducting repetitive statistics, BOABC deemed that flour production was only 5.145 million MT in February.
 
Flour supply was 5.768 million MT in February, a slip of 11.6% on the year-on-year basis. Flour consumption for various uses was about 5.205 million MT in February.
 
Flour consumption for food use was 4.972 million MT in February, including 2.337 million MT consumed by households, 1.51 million MT by the catering industry and 1.512 million MT by the food industry.
 
Of the flour consumed for food use, 33.8% were consumed by rural houses, 28.71% by the catering industry, 21.51% by the food industry and 10.65% by urban households.
 
200,000 MT flour was consumed for feed production and 28,000 MT for industrial uses in February.
 
Flour price was RMB3,005/MT in February, up 1.67% over the month before and up 6.96% on the year-on-year basis.
 
Flour sale/production ratio was 101.98% in February and flour inventory was 521,000 MT at the end of February
