Yarn Mills’ Profit Slightly Up in March
By CnAgri2013-04-09 11:21:42 Print Cotton price averaged RMB19,355/MT in March, up 0.33% over the month before, but down 1.03% on the year-on-year basis. Cotton yarn price was RMB27,315/MT (40-count) and RMB26,417/MT (32-count) respectively in March, up 0.24% and 0.38% respectively over the month before, but down 1.66% and 0.3% respectively on the year-on-year basis.Taking into account of energy, labor, shipment, etc., the cost of yarn production was RMB5,709/MT in March (cotton cost not included), suggesting a profit of RMB182/MT and a profit ratio of 0.7%. Yarn mills’ profit and profit ratio were RMB118/MT and 0.45% respectively in the previous month.
