Pesticide Export Continued Fast Increase

By CnAgri2013-04-10 11:27:29 Print In February, Chinese crude pesticide import was 5,459 tons, down 32.4% over last year and down 34.1% over last month, including wholesaled fungicide 1,475 tons, retailed herbicide 1,840 tons and wholesaled herbicide 674 tons respectively, the three varieties above accounted for 74.2% of total import, up 8% over last year. In the first 2 months of 2013, total pesticide import was 13,742 tons, up 8.8%.
 
In February, Chinese crude pesticide export hit 81,074 tons, up 23.3% over last year while down 11.6% over last month. In the first 2 months of 2013, total pesticide export was 173,000 tons, up 26.1%. The proportion of herbicide (including retailed and wholesaled) was 75.1%, up 2.8% over last year, and the proportion of insecticide went down to 12.7% from 15.0%, which was 17.0% in 2011.
 
In February, FOB price of wholesaled insecticide, fungicide and herbicide was 4,176 dollars, 4,900 dollars and 2,938 dollars. Fungicide went up by 8.6%, while insecticide and herbicide slide with different extent.
