USDA: Forecast on Lower Sugar Production

China Agriculture Report By CnAgri2013-04-27 11:04:40China Agriculture Report Print USDA forecasted 8.98 million tons white sugar production, 122,000 tons less than the forecast made in last month. However import from Mexico shall rise from the previous forecast of 1.589 to 1.647 million tons. Also, the stock/consumption ratio shall fall from 20% to 18%. Owing to the shrinkage of acreage and late sowing for beets, USDA expects to see dwindling of harvest and sugar production in August and September.
