Paorosa Price Soared and Turnovers of Domestic Sawn Timber up 10%

On Sept.23rd, China wood price index increased narrowly and was closed at 139.05, up 1.46 points, 1.06%. And the turnover quantity declined 33.89% from the day before.  Price index of logs and sawn timber saw strong increase, both up 7.34%.

Specifically, influences of Usagi Typhoon on the market are not so severe as expected and the decline rate of market turnovers is also within reasonable ranges， which makes price index of representative species show resilience. Especially after paorosa price raised greatly 4.32%, most other representative species flutters red, which in general support log index to go up sharply. Turnover quotation of  paorosa registered RMB2900/m3, up RMB120/m3; quotation of merbau registered RMB4650/m3, up RMB50/m3.

Domestic sawn timber trade also turned better significantly on Sept.23rd and turnover quantity increased 10% from the day before.  Turnover of fraxinus mandshurica increased 1.4 times by making promotions, price was quoted at RMB5220/m3, down RMB80/m3.  Only quotation of basswood saw increase and was close at RMB2850/m3, up RMB50/m3.
