Pesticide Output Saw a Record-Low in August 2013

In August, total output of 337 major pesticide enterprises hit 227,000 tons, down 19.5%, including insecticide 62,000 tons, down 5%, fungicide 12,000 tons, up 44.5%, and herbicide 114,000 tons, down 15%.
 
In the first 8 months of 2013, total output hit 2.265m tons, down 0.6%, including insecticide 500,000 tons, down 6.3% and fungicide 103,000 tons, up 7.3%, herbicide 1.159m tons, up 7.4%.
