Beef Imports from Australia in September
By CnAgri2013-10-17 11:20:31 Print According to Australian government, Australia exported 14,500 MT beef to China in Sept., but fresh-preserved beef exports tumbled to 38 MT from 2,000 MT/month in the previous months. This may lead to a shortage of high-grade beef in China.China’s fresh-preserved beef imports totaled 10,393 MT in Jan. ~ Aug., with 97% from Australia. China banned fresh-preserved beef from Australia from Aug. 26 on, because Australian cow slaughterhouses did not apply for a fresh-preserved beef supply certificate from the Chinese government.
