Egg Price to Increase with Temperature Decline

Egg: On Nov. 20th, 2013, at the major egg wholesale markets of the 36 medium-and-large sized cities, the average price of fresh eggs is RMB8.36Yuan/KG, up 0.48% compared with last week. Price for eggs from farmers is RMB7.32Yuan/KG this week. With weather getting cold, laying rate begin declining. In NE areas, the snowy weather influenced egg transportation. Currently, inventory of laying hens is at high level and egg supply is adequate. With temperature decline later, egg price shall increase gradually. (Figure 5)
