Commercial layer feeding in China mainly concentrated in regions north of the Yangtze River with Shandong province, Henan province, Hebei province, Liaoning province, Jiangsu province and Hubei province as main areas. Egg circulation in China mainly are divided into five regions including Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, Yangtze River Delta, Pearl River Delta, Shandong Bandao and southwest region.

(1) In Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei consumption region with Beijing and Tianjin as core, eggs mainly come from the Northeast, Hebei, Shanxi, Inner Mongolia and other areas.

(2) In Yangtze River Delta with Shanghai, Hangzhou and Suzhou as core, eggs mainly come from Jiangsu, Anhui, Hubei, Henan and some portions of Shandong.

(3) In Pearl River Delta with Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Hong Kong and Macao as core, eggs mainly come from Hubei, Henan, Hunan, Yunnan and other areas.

(4) In Shandong Bandao consumption region with Qingdao as core, eggs mainly come from surrounding areas of Qingdao and northeastern China.

(5) In southwest consumption region with Chengdu and Chongqing as core, eggs mainly come from Sichuan, Chongqing, Hubei and some portions of Shanxi.

In recent years, layer breeding industry developed rapidly in Yunnan, Guizhou and Xinjiang, and these provinces have changed into egg exporting provinces from egg importing provinces. In the future, clear line between production regions and sales regions will be weakened gradually, the supply capacity and supply radius of traditional main producing regions like the three northeastern provinces, Hebei, Shandong, Henan and other areas will decrease gradually , traditional main producing regions and non-main producing regions all will focus on localization, and the breeding layout with Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, Yangtze River Delta and Pearl River Delta as core will be formed.
