On 7 January Mu Yuan Food Group published sales data of live hog in December; its total sale volume is 1.8588 million heads, up by 42.24% MOM and the same figure in 2013 is 1.3068 million heads.
 
According to Mu Yuan six-monthly sales data in 2013 – 2014, the faster increase speed was seen at the second half year of 2013 with total sale volume of 801,300 tons, up by 58.51% compared with the first two quarters. When coming into 2014, enterprises slowed down production capacity expansion plan, due to grim live hog condition. The sale volume was 856,800 heads, increased by 6.93% MOM, with net profit loss of 80.46 million Yuan. While in the second half year of 2014 live hog condition gradually recovered, thus enterprises begun making profits instead of loss, and sale volume increased by 16.95% MOM.
 
 
On 29 July 2014 Mu Yuan determined to build annual output of 400,000 heads live hog breeding and feed processing project, with set asset investment of 390 million Yuan. The project will wholly put into production in five years.
