1. Analysis on grain output and supply-and-demand balance of grain in January 2015

Imported raw materials are the main source for industrial increase. Total consumption of feed is increasing, but the speed of by-product processing industry is higher, which makes the decline of net feed consumption.
The comprehensive price of rice, flour and bean products increased by 0.17% over last month, price of meat, egg, and fresh vegetables decreased by 0.29%, 0.99%, and up by 12.20% respectively; compared with last year, the growth rate of grain is 3.78%, while the price of meat and edible oil decreased by 2.90% and 3.96%. The egg price increased over 9.37%, fruit 33.454%, grain consumption is brought back because of the rising price of fruits and poultry and the declining consumption in high end catering industry.
Food Consumption: total consumption of grain is 29.35 million tons, increased by 2.02% YOY, In September, the cumulative consumption was 275 MT, increased by 1.46% YOY, and per capita grain consumption is 180 kg, increased by 0.91%. In the aspect of monthly consumption, the rural household consumption is 9.944 million tons, increased by 0.48%; urban household consumption is 8.142 million tons, increased by 3.56%. Eat out consumption is up to 11.264 million tons, increased by 2.30%. Urbanization is the main drive of out consumption.
