Investment into Fertilizer Industry up to RMB131.4 billion

By CnAgri2013-01-18 11:21:43 Print The fertilizer industry completed fixed asset construction involving RMB15.32 billion investment in November, 1.8% more than the month before and 29% more than the same period of the previous year. Specifically, nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium and compound fertilizer industries received RMB4.17 billion, 1.52 billion, RMB240 million and RMB5.22 billion respectively, up 5%, up 28.9%, down 42.5% but up 100.9% respectively on the year-on-year basis.
 
RMB131.4 billion investment was poured into the fertilizer industry in January ~ November last year, an increase of 16.8% on the year-on-year basis. While investment increased about 20% in other sub-industries of the fertilizer industry on the year-on-year basis, the nitrogen industry merely saw a small growth rate of 3.5%.
 
The share of investment into the nitrogen, compound fertilizer, organic fertilizer and other industries (humic acid, amino acid and biological bacterial fertilizer) recorded 28.7%, 29.8%, 19.6% and 10.3% respectively, down 3.7%, up 0.6%, up 1.3% and up 1.1% respectively on the year-on-year basis.
 
893 projects were wound up and 1,278 kicked off during January ~ November, 1.3% and 7.1% more than the same period of the previous year respectively. Of the projects kicked off, 14.3% were nitrogen projects, a decrease of 14.3% on the year-on-year basis.
 
The average scale of investment per project was RMB74 million, up 14.7% on the year-on-year basis. The average scale of investment per project increased 32% in the phosphorus industry, the top level in the fertilizer industry.
