China Livestock Production in 2012

By CnAgri2013-01-24 10:52:29 Print     According to the National Bureau of Statistics, China’s meat, egg and milk production registered 82.21 million MT, 28.61 million MT and 37.44 million MT respectively in 2012, up 5.4%, 1.8% and 2.3% respectively on the year-on-year basis.
 
    Of the total meat production, 53.35 million MT were pork, 5.6% more than the previous year. Hog production and inventory registered 696.28 million heads and 474.92 million heads respectively in 2012, exceeding the previous year by 5.2% and 1.6% respectively.
