China Livestock Production in 2012

China Agriculture Report By CnAgri2013-01-24 10:52:29China Agriculture Report Print     According to the National Bureau of Statistics, China’s meat, egg and milk production registered 82.21 million MT, 28.61 million MT and 37.44 million MT respectively in 2012, up 5.4%, 1.8% and 2.3% respectively on the year-on-year basis.
 
    Of the total meat production, 53.35 million MT were pork, 5.6% more than the previous year. Hog production and inventory registered 696.28 million heads and 474.92 million heads respectively in 2012, exceeding the previous year by 5.2% and 1.6% respectively.
