Pesticide Material Price Start to Decline

In January, yellow phosphorous was steady with slight decline. The operation rate was pretty low and there is also less inventory and steady sales. In January, yellow phosphorous averaged at 16,490 Yuan per ton, up 2.9%, almost same as last month.
 
Although methanol futures saw a substantial rebound, spot good didn't gained much. Its average price was 2,640 Yuan per ton, up 0.8% over last month, and down 6.7% over last year. Affected by low profit rate and the Spring Festival Holiday is approaching, operation rate fell below 60%.
 
Chlor-alkali enterprises operated normally, and there is sufficient supply in the market, so domestic liquid chlorine continued to fall this month. It was the same in benzene derivatives and sulfur. In January, average xylene price was 9,577 Yuan, down 18.8% over last month.
