Summary of Pesticide Output Throughout 2012

By CnAgri2013-01-30 11:30:13 Print Total output of 311 major enterprises hit 3.549m tons in 2012, up 19.0%, including 341,000 tons in December, up 10.0% over last year and 1.4% over last month.
 
In 2012, insecticide, fungicide and herbicide output was 812,000 tons, 144,000 tons and 1.646m tons, up by -12.3%, -7.7% and 42.4%, which accounted for 22.9%, 4.1% and 46.4% of total output respectively. Herbicide went up by 7.6% over last year, while insecticide went down by 8.2%. Fast increase of herbicide counterbalanced the decline of insecticide and fungicide, which was also the main drive of output increase.
 
Besides, output of growth regulator, bio-pesticide added up to 947,000 tons, accounting for 26.7% of total, up 1.7% over last year.
